Bill Overton
Lead vocals, Electric Guitar
Bill was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and grew up in Seminole. Bill first got into music at the age of 6 when he began taking piano lessons, but his Christian music career began during his sophomore year in high school. At the age of 16, he was selected to serve on music team for a Happening youth retreat. The idea of playing music not to show off, but to lead other people in a worship experience made a huge impression on him. After high school he started working as a musician, playing at camps and other events in the diocese. In college he led music for the Clemson and Georgia Tech Wesley foundations and the Canterbury of Clemson Episcopal ministry. Bill holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. He now lives in Fletcher, NC with his wife, Alison, and their cat, Lazarus where he works for Eaton Corporation as an Inside Sales Engineer. He also assists with music for the contemporary service at Skyland United Methodist Church in Asheville.
